Ethical principles and publication policy
Ethical principles of scientific publications are designed to ensure the integrity of scientific knowledge and protect the intellectual property rights of third parties.
The scientific and theoretical collection SCIENTIFIC PAPERS of ASUCA is guided by high standards of publishing ethics. It is governed by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Copyright and Related Rights.”
The journal’s editorial board evaluates all studies submitted to the journal for compliance with the standards listed below. At the next stage, the selection committee will only forward articles by authors who adhere to ethical principles.
Therefore, authors submitting articles to the journal SCIENTIFIC PAPERS of ASUCA should pay attention to the following rules:
The journal must submit original articles that have not previously been published in any journal (Azerbaijani or foreign).
An article submitted to the journal cannot be simultaneously submitted for evaluation to another journal.
If the author declines to publish an article for any reason, they have the right to do so before the evaluation process begins, and they must notify the journal of this by email. Articles that have passed peer review and are in print will not be rejected.
If necessary, the journal’s editorial board may request additional documents for publication.
After the evaluation process is complete, the author is not permitted to intervene in the process, for example, by adding additional information about the article, the author, etc.
The author bears direct responsibility for plagiarism, fraud, misrepresentation, reprinting, authorship in bad faith, and other ethical violations from the moment the article is submitted to the journal.
Note:
All articles that do not meet accepted ethical standards and academic criteria are excluded from the process from the moment the violation is discovered, are retracted from publication, and the author is notified accordingly.
All authors who have submitted articles to the journal are deemed to have accepted the above terms.
Responsibility for any problems that may arise during the publication process related to the issues listed above lies with the author.
*It is considered imperative that all stakeholders adhere to ethical principles during the writing and publication process.
In this regard, the editorial board of the journal SCIENTIFIC PAPERS of ASUCA is obligated to:
Regularly accept submissions and regularly post announcements on the journal’s official website https://admiuelmieserler.az/.
Provide authors with timely, objective, and unbiased information on all questions and requests regarding the publication of articles in the journal;
Preliminary review of submitted articles, prompt return of articles that do not meet publication guidelines, and forward them to the author for necessary corrections without reviewing the content;
Create conditions for the timely submission of articles to regional expert committees during the review process;
Create conditions for the accurate transmission of regional expert committee conclusions to the author via email, without disclosing the reviewer’s identity;
If necessary, inform the reviewer of the author’s request for detailed information about the conclusion;
Take into account the opinions, suggestions, and comments of researchers, readers, etc.;
Notifying Editorial Committee Members in Specific Areas Regarding Authors.
The Editorial Board encourages its committees to evaluate articles impartially, scientifically, and objectively.
If there is a delay in responses from Editorial Board members in specific areas, they are informed and required to respond promptly.
The final decision on accepting an article for publication should be sent to the authors by email in a clear and concise manner.
In this regard, the Expert Committees in Specific Areas of the journal SCIENTIFIC PAPERS of ASUCA perform the following responsibilities:
The article they have reviewed may be used only after publication and only for scientific purposes.
Inform the editor of any identified violations of scientific and ethical principles in the article under review.
They emphasize the clarity and perspicuity of the opinions expressed in the article.
If the submitted article does not correspond to their specialization, they immediately notify the editorial board.
In this area, the responsibilities of the relevant body at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts overseeing the journal are as follows:
Ensures the archival storage of electronic and printed versions of published journals.
Ensures that each journal issue is sent to the appropriate departments.
Checks articles for plagiarism immediately upon their receipt by the editors and provides a link.
Ensures that each article is posted in the Сrossref system and assigned a DOI identifier.
Ensures that each journal is accessible online (on the journal’s official website).
